Call for Cases

Physicians from around the world are invited to submit their most challenging valvular heart disease case for the consideration for presentation during Valves in the Heart of the Big Apple VII: Evaluation & Management of Valvular Heart Diseases 2012.

General Information

  • All accepted cases will be scheduled as 10-12 minute presentations. The Case Review Committee will determine length, based on the number accepted in a topic area and the relationship to others accepted for the same session.
  • All presentations and question-and-answer periods will be in English.
  • There is a $25 processing fee for each case submitted payable by credit card only. This fee is non-refundable and used to cover the cost of submission and processing.
  • All accepted presenters must register for the conference in the appropriate category.
  • Submitting authors will be notified via email in no later than the end of February, regarding acceptance disposition.
  • Valves in the Heart of the Big Apple is unable to reimburse case presenters for travel, hotel and per diem expenses.

Policies

  • Submissions with “INCOMPLETE” status cannot be processed.
  • Submission of a case constitutes a commitment by the submitter to present if accepted. Failure to present and register for the meeting, if not justified, will jeopardize future acceptance of cases and abstracts.
  • There is no limit to the number of cases an investigator may submit. If selected, the presenter must be the submitter in order to ensure accuracy of disclosures and submitted information.
  • If selected for presentation, graphics must be submitted in PowerPoint format via email.  NO MORE THAN FIVE (5) graphics (slides) will be permitted.
  • Submitters that have cases accepted will be required to email their complete presentation by March 7, 2012 for review/coordination by the session faculty.
